Compulsory Motor Liability Insurance

Compulsory Motor Liability Insurance refers to the policy that when a passenger or a third party outside the vehicle suffers injury or death as the result of a traffic accident during the use and management of the insured vehicle, regardless of whether the insured party is at fault, he/she may claim NTD$ 200,000 of medical treatment for each injured party and NTD$ 2,000,000 for a death claim whereas no upper limit of claims for each traffic accident. In case of an injured party suffering from disablement, the claim based on the degree of disablement should be made accordingly.
